Well I am back to work now, part-time that is. I've got a job working in the registrar's office at school. Its only 12-16 hours a week, but any income I earn right now is needed. School is going ok; just 3 weeks left before finals start. I'm a bit irritated with my math teacher's grading scale. I don't think its fair that I aced my midterms yet I'm getting a 3.2(so far) just because I missed one group project. I shouldn't be complaining that much though. Two of my classmates grades were so bad that they dropped the class this week. I have a term paper for my Intl Affairs class due in two weeks. Thankfully I didn't procrastinate on that this quarter and I am almost done.
In two more weeks Zora will be one! I can't believe how fast time goes by. I've been thinking about her birthday party lately. I think I'm going to have to have two separate gatherings. Ideally I'd like to have one party at my place. But I know my Mom too well and she will say or do something that will offend my African family and friends, and I'll be held responsible for it. And since I don't want to spend the rest of March explaining to my African side that not all Black Americans are ignorant and crazy(really I get annoyed with the 'culture clash' BS) I think its best to just get everyone together separately.
