Three weeks into winter quarter and thing are going well. The only difficult class I have is math. The other two are a breeze. I do have a term paper to write for my Intl Relations course. Fortunately I get to choose the topic so that won't be hard. I am looking forward to it. Now the Spring and Summer quarters will be interesting. I plan on taking 4 courses which will be alot of work. But its possible. Now if I go back to work in the summer I will only take three. I feel like taking 20 credits,working 25-40 hrs a week and trying to be the best Mom for Zora all at once will cause my grades to suffer. Since the UW School of Social Work is competitive to get into my GPA needs to be a 3.5 or above. If it slips I might as well forget about getting admitted. That is not what I want though. I will have to look for a job that is low key and doesn't take alot out of me. Ideally I'd like to work in my field but until I start at the UW I probably won't get the internships I need seeing as I haven't even started studies in the field & have no experience. I do have an Uncle who works in the field though, so I will talk to him and get his advice.
I had to strong arm her into it a little bit but my sister is going to school in the fall. She wants to be an RN & will take her prerequisites. I am very glad that she will be pursuing her dream & will continue to support her in it.
