2004-08-19 - 1:20 p.m. In a little over a month, I start school again(finally). I was a bit anmoyed when I went to register last wook. Due to my less than stellar performance during my last quarter of attendance, I am on academic probabtion. This means that I have to pay my own tuition and register in person instead of online. I am also limited to taking only two classes, which perturbed me a bit. In a way its a good thing though; my tuition will be less. Hopefully I can get my financial aid reinstated dor winter quarter. I am excited and ambivalent about school. I'm not taking math this quarter(a subject I hate), so I think I'll be able to do quite well. Zora is growing so much! She is getting so smart. She is very interested in food now. When she sits in anyone's lap at the table, she tries to grab the food off of their plate. She always wants to smell food and put her hand in it. I know she will be so glad when she finally gets to expand her menu. For now its just milk and rice cereal(sometimes with a little banana or sweet potato mixed in). Next month we'll start giving her baby food. She is using a sippy cup to drink out of as well. She only holds onto it with one handle though. Its pretty funny watching her try to drink from it by herself. She is so eager to drink that she grabs the cup from the top. But since she is holding it wrong, nothing comes out and she gets frustrated. She'll figure it out eventually. I think she'll be crawling by the end of September. I can't wait for her paternal grandparents to meet her. I feel for them, being so far away and everything. I can only imagine how eager Zora's Grandma is, especially considering the fact that Zora is her first grandchild. We've been making videotapes of her to send back to them. That way they can at least see her in the flesh. I am sure they will see her by the end of this year at the latest. Zora's uncle & great uncle may be coming this month to visit though, which will be great!
