I'll be turning 24 this month and I am feeling every year of it. I swear I am turning into such an old woman...lol! I look at my taste in music nowadays. I've pretty much abandoned hip-hop-misogyny simply is NOT acceptable to me. There are a few exceptions I'll make, but the most part I stick to reggae(not dancehall), jazz, gospel, neo soul and R&B. Even with R&B, I don't listen to the current stuff. Its just not the same.
I'm also finding that I'm becoming more of a homebody. My man jokes and says I have no life because I don't run with a large clique & usually just want to spend time with him and Zora at home. I just don't need all the excitement anymore. Even before Zora came in the picture, I wasn't the type to be running the streets all the time. Now that I've assumed the roles of Mom and 'de facto' wife, I feel that my family is most important. Its the way my Grandma raised me and the way I'm going to live. I look forward to starting school in September and will resume work in 5-6 months. But I will NEVER put anything above motherhood and Zora.
