2004-04-22 - 8:28 p.m. Little Zora is such a character! Even though she's still a newborn, I can see things about her personality. Some she got from her father, some she got from me and some....well some I think are all her own. For example, she is NOT a morning person at all(like her Pops). She will wake up, eat for a little bit and expect me to let her fall right back asleep. Of course I can't do that; she's got to burped(so she doesn't spit up) and have her diaper changed. Needless to say, Zora doesn't like that & usually fusses. She is also very "outspoken"(ok she can't speak but you know what I mean). She has no problems letting someone know if she's pleased or displeased with something they are doing. One day last week my Mom was tickling Zora's feet. First Zora pulled her feet away. When she did it again, Zora kicked her. Now that Zora's discovered her hands & feet, she is getting busy using them. This morning she blasted me in my face with her fists-she seemed to think it was funny and did it four more times. It was the cutest little thing. She is too young to realize she's not supposed to hit Mommy, so I'm not worried about it. Now if she does something like that when she is one years old I'll have to discipline her. Zora is such a sweety though; I don't think I'll have to do that often. I truly hope that I don't. I don't like hitting children. I know that sometimes a spanking is necessary, but I feel that should be a last resort. I'm also a little weak when it comes to Zora; she has me wrapped around her little finger already! She has this one face she makes when she starts to cry and my heart just breaks when she does it. If she ever learns what that look does to me she'll be able to get anything she wants out of me...lol.
