Three more weeks left until my official due date, and everyone around me is starting to get restless. Three of my cousins actually tried talking me into taking castor oil earlier to start contractions. I wasn't trying to hear that though. As tired as I am of being pregnant, I just know its not time for my baby to come; he or she isn't "finished" yet. And while I am considered thirty seven weeks pregnant, TECHNICALLY I am not-my baby is only thirty five weeks old. Remember, pregnancy is counted from the FIRST day of a woman's LAST period. But the actual conception usually takes place a week or two later,and that's when the new life begins. Knowing that, I am fine to let things take their course. I won't start seriously looking at self induction until March 20th(at which point I'd be three days late).
I have a bet going with one of my friends. He thinks I am going to go into labor by this upcoming sunday, February 29th! He is so wrong......my baby hasn't even dropped into my pelvis yet; there is no way labor can be close until that happens. But hey, I have no problem parting a fool & their money, so I agreed to the bet. There is no way my baby is going to come that early.
